Greyhound Openings / Sylvan Learning

 These are some very good opportunities via sister Lauren in B'more concerning multiple positions at Greyhound, and brother Mustapha ( an "OG" in TSN and Sylvan ) in Dubai with Sylvan Learning.  Now this will require "at least" 2 years working over there. JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Center Director, you will utilize your talents to manage the day-to-day operations of a Sylvan Learning Center, including responsibility over P&L controls, hiring staff, and optimizing the sales process, the curriculum delivery, and the marketing activities to schools and your surrounding community.

As a Successful Center Director, You Will: 
Grow the Center:
  • Direct the sales process of new and potential enrollments, including successfully handling initial inquiries from parents as well as consultations and conferences with parents.
  • Engage in marketing activities to increase awareness of Sylvan Learning in your region.
  • Monitor and track Center performance, revenues, expenses, and fee collection.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with teachers, educational specialists and other school administrators and parent/teacher organizations.

Manage & Train:
  • Select, train, and manage Center employees (instructors, Director(s) of Education, and other Center staff).
  • Effectively lead center staff meetings with all FT employees; motivate and continually develop Center staff.
  • Demonstrate and uphold a high level of staff morale and spirit; ensure the professional appearance of your Center.

We Require:
  • A high school diploma
  • Five + years of related experience (sales and marketing), with a strong focus on customer service
  • Excellent verbal communication and persuasive skills, and the ability to build relationships
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, analyze/interpret business reports and statistics, and write reports and business correspondence.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work some evening hours, and some Saturdays.

We prefer: 
  • A Bachelor’s degree and Teaching certificate and/or experience in the education field.
  • Some experience/knowledge of Arabic language and culture

MCC Senior Program Ambassadors


The Muslim Community Center Senior Program is pleased to announce the dates for the training of our first cadre of MCC Senior Program AmbassadorsThe training will be conducted through the collaborative efforts of the Washington Adventist Hospital, the MCC Clinic under the guidance of Dr. Azad Ejaz, and our MCC Imam Mohamed Sh. Mohamed.
 
The training will require Seniors to attend three workshops at the Washington Adventist Hospital.
--The first workshop is on Saturday June 16th, the training is for visiting the sick,
--The last two are on June 23 rd and 30th and are for the bereaved who have lost loved ones. 
-- A fourth training will be conducted by Dr. Ejaz and Imam Mohamed at the MCC Clinic. It will include topics on healthand Spirituality.   
 
Following the successful training, Seniors will be certified as MCC Senior Ambassadors, and will be actively engaged in reaching out to the sick and bereaved in our community. Senior Ambassadors are required to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours a month in their outreach efforts.
 
Training slots are very limited and are on first come first served bases.
