AfterCollege/AACN Nursing Scholarship

Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Students, Year 5 
Award Amount: $10,000
Provided by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, the AfterCollege/ AACN Nursing Scholarship is available to nursing students enrolled in a baccalaureate, master’s or doctoral degree program in nursing.
Special consideration will be given to students in a graduate program with the goal of becoming a nurse educator; students completing an RN-to- BSN or RN-to- MSN program; and those enrolled in an accelerated program.

John D. Spurling OBE KCVO Scholarship

Award Amount: $10,000 
The Revel Scholars Program is available to students enrolled or accepted into an accredited college or university.
You must be at least 16 years of age, be a US citizen or permanent resident, and demonstrate an interest in entrepreneurship either as a major field of study or a career choice.
Your career-direction must include being entrepreneurial in business, science, technology, engineering, or math.

Imagine Cup Games Competition

Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $50,000 
The Imagine Cup Games Competition is available to students with an interest in video game design.
To enter the contest you, or your team, must submit a desktop or tablet game using Windows, or a mobile game using Windows Phone, or a browser game using Windows Azure.
Games can support multiple languages as long as English is represented and be no bigger than 500MB to be eligible entries.

Everglades Foundation Scholarship

Available to: Graduate Students, Year 1 through Year 5
Award Amount: $20,000 
The Everglades Foundation Scholarship is offered to full-time graduate research students.
You must be majoring in earth sciences, biological sciences, engineering, geography, planning and resources management or economics in order to qualify for this award.

“From Failure to Promise” Essay Contest

Available to: High School Senior through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $10,000
The “From Failure to Promise” Essay Contest is open to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students who hold at least a 2.5 GPA.
To be considered, you must submit an essay of at least 1500 words that addresses the following three topics: Which tracks of the book “From Failure to Promise – 360 degrees” presented or reiterated the most important life lessons for you and why, which factor was the most vital to the author’s evolution in going from “flunk-out” to "professor and how does the “Seven Spheres of Influence and Integration Model” affect your worldview as related to civic responsibility.

Damon Runyon Fellowship Award

Award Amount: $60,000 
Sponsored by the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, the Damon Runyon Fellowship Award is available to early career scientists who have completed an MD, PhD, MD/PhD, DDS, or DVM degree.

The Sloan Research Fellowship is available to promising researchers early in their careers.
You must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science, computational and evolutionary molecular biology, economics, neuroscience, or in a related interdisciplinary field and must be a member of the regular faculty of a college in the United States or Canada.

Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest

Provided by the Ayn Rand Institute, the Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest is open to high school seniors, college undergraduates and graduate students.
You must submit an essay of between 800 and 1,600 words on a topic related to Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged.
The three topic choices are listed on the sponsor’s website and essays will be judged on style and content.

International Fellowship – American Association of University Women

Swann Foundation Fellowship

Award Amount: $15,000 
The Swann Foundation Fellowship is available to graduate students who are conducting scholarly research and writing projects in the field of caricature and cartoon.
To be eligible, you must be a candidate for an M.A. or Ph.D. degree in a university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico and be working toward the completion of a dissertation or thesis for that degree, or be engaged in postgraduate research within three years of receiving an M.A. or Ph.D.

D.J. Lovell Scholarship

The D.J. Lovell Scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students who are studying optical science and engineering.
Fields of study may include optics, photonics, imaging, optoelectronics and other related disciplines.

Sponsored by National Association of State Public Interest Research Groups, PIRG Fellowship is available to recent college graduates who are interested in the public interest movement.
As a PIRG Fellow, you will build expertise on global warming, campaign reform, or another social problem.
You will conduct research, make the case for solutions, act as a spokesperson to the media, build diverse coalitions, write grants, and develop the kind of politically powerful support you need to win.

The Ralph Johnson Bunche Distinguished Graduate Scholarship is available to full-time entering students at Rutgers University, School of Law, Newark.
You must have a substantial educational background or demonstrate a cultural disadvantage to be eligible for this award.

Chicagoland Regional College Program

Available to: Students Ages 17 or Older
Award Amount: $10,000 
The Chicagoland Regional College Program is open to students who are at least 17 years of age and attending, or planning to attend: Chicago State University, Governors State University, Moraine Valley Community College, Morton College, Olive Harvey College, Prairie State College, or Richard J. Daley College.
To be considered, you must be willing to work part – time as a package handler at the UPS Hodgkins, IL. facility.
The hours are Monday through Friday from 4:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. or 10:00 P.M. to 3:00 A.M.
In addition to a $6200 annual UPS salary, program participants will also receive a $2000 allowance for school fees, $300 for books, and $100 per month for transportation.
Veterans will also receive a $300 – $500 monthly bonus.

ASEE/NSF Small Business Postdoctoral Research Diversity Fellowship

Sponsored by the American Society for Engineering Education, the ASEE/ NSF Small Business Postdoctoral Research Diversity Fellowship is available to recent engineering PhD’s who are pursuing an opportunity to conduct research in a corporate setting.
Fellows must hold a PhD awarded in a S.T.E.M. field within the last seven years to be considered for this award.
