CALL FOR PAPERS (IC-DAIM2010) International Conference on Da’wah and Islamic Management

On behalf of the organizers ILIA shares this call for papers.
 
Dear Professors/Associate Professors/Dr/friends and colleagues.

The Faculty of Leadership and Management (FKP), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Bandar Baru Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia will organize the International Conference On Dakwah and Islamic Management: Practice & Prospect
(IC-DAIM2010).  This conference is a collaborative effort of the faculty (FKP) and the Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia (YaPEIM).  The conference will be held on the 23rd-24th November 2010, at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The organizing committee cordially invites you to participate in this conference. Scholarly papers on the following aspects of “Dakwah and Islamic Management” below either by individual or panel sessions are welcome.  A 300-word abstract should be sent to the conference secretariat before 30th July 2010.  An abstract should also include a brief biodata of the presenter.

The conference will addresses issues on Dakwah, Islamic Management, Leadership and other relevant topics as follows:

ILIA Offers Khutbah at Islamic Society of Hanover

Alhamedellah ILIA offered Friday khutbah at the Islamic Society of Hanover (ISH). The topic offered was on anger, and the role of the community and leaders in anger management and conflict resolution.

ILIA Speaks to Hifz Class at Islamic Academy of Raleigh

Alhamedellah it was an honor to receive an invitation from the Quran Hifz School of Raleigh's Islamic Academy to share some reflections on leadership for their students. A team of three ILIA youth along with their coach spent 45 minutes with the twenty Raleigh youngsters whose ages ranged from 8 to 13, and their two instructors. The discussion reflected on key leadership traits of a good Muslim, and Ibrahim's (peace be upon him) leadership responsibility and mission.

ILIA Moves into National Head Quarters

We have good news to share. Alhamedellah with the grace of Allah (SWT) and the continued support of our donors ILIA has moved into an office of its own in Ellicott City, Maryland.

A professional grade business office park in Howard County in the Center of the Baltimore/Washington region. The office allows ILIA to organize its business assets, documents and conduct its operations 7 days a week. It also provides a space for ILIA's Mission Excellence Program and access to two class A conference rooms and two large training facilities.

Alhamedellah ILIA's programs and classes cover the expenses associated with these its programs. However ILIA depends on its donors contributions to fund its dawa and outreach efforts, operational expenses and one-time capital expenses.

Phase 0 of the office startup costs includes six months of rent + internet access + 6 months of PT administrator + office computer + high speed laser quality printer for certificates, student transcripts and office printing.

ILIA Offers SAT College Prep Classes in Maryland

July 8th, 2010 - Rajab 26th, 1431, Ellicott City, Maryland.

Alhamedellah ILIA is offering SAT Prep Classes in Maryland for high school students. Enrollment is available at http://iliatutoring.eventbrite.com

Classes are held at ILIA's office in Ellicott City on Sunday afternoons. Why have your child go elsewhere, where at ILIA they can inshaa Allah prepare to be leaders in an Islamic environment, and not just score high on the SAT, and for a fraction of the cost of other providers. Instructors are professionals who have been tutoring for years and have been trained in the application of leadership principles and practices to learning and education. Register early, Sept's SAT date is fast approaching !!
