We Have Moved


Alhamedellah we have moved our offices to a larger facility to support the growing training needs of our community. We are now located at 3290 Pine Orchard Ln, Suite A6, Ellicott City, Md 21042. Our new location is 2 miles west of our former office.

The new location provides four times the space of the former office and includes office space, classroom space and a student cafe area. We look forward to seeing you at our new location soon inshaa Allah.

  •  iLead (i Lead through Eman & Application of the Dean) is a weeklong camp focusing on 5 traits: Mission, Motivation, Patience, Courage, Taqwa
  •  24 registered campers ranging in age from 8 to 15
  •  Guest speakers included: Mohamed Abutaleb, Imam Okasha Kameni, Imam Mahmoud Abdelhady, and Dr. Yassine Daoud

ILIA Receives 501c(3) Tax Exemption Determination

Alhamedellah, with the grace of Allah (SWT) ILIA has received its letter of determination from the IRS stating its tax exemption status. The IRS has determined that ILIA's work and mission qualifies the organization to be exempt from Federal income tax under section 501c(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to ILIA are deductible under section 170 of the Code. ILIA is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts.

ILIA is also further classified as a public charity, alhamedellah since its inception in 2009 ILIA has been providing financial aid to all its programs and through the generous donations it received has been able to sponsor programs at area homeless shelters and low income populations for leadership development and training. ILIA offers financial aid to all its students who qualify. Information on ILIA's financial aid policy can be found at http://www.islamicleadership.org/policies/

All contributions made to ILIA since its inception are tax deductible and the effective date of exemption is June 24, 2009. Donors may wish to check with their tax advisor on how to receive deductions for tax years prior to the date of this announcement.

ILIA Discusses Repentance at Loyola Blakefield School

ILIA's founder Ayman Nassar joined Rabbi Ilyse, Director, Kramer of the Institute for Christian and Jewish Studies, and Pastor Pat Goodman, Youth Pastor, Grace Fellowship Church  at Loyola Blakefield School to discuss the concept of Repentance in the three faiths of Islam, Judaism and Christianity. Loyola Blakefield, an all boys middle and high school, invited three leaders for the three faiths as part of their Lent season educational programming on March 30th, 2010. The event was attended by 970, three of whom are Muslim.

The event started with an introduction by Joe Cordella, Director of Campus Ministry where he shared the mission of a Loyola Blakefield student. Principal, Antony Day ended the program  by thanking the guests and students, after a short reflection and summary by Fr. Tim Brown.

Has Islam Been Hijacked, Zayed vs. Spencer and Imam Moustafa Zayed's New Blog

Imam Moustafa Zayed the renowned Muslim author eradicating Islamophobia through the pen and tongue has recently started a new blog. The blog named "The Lies About Muhammad (pbuh)" is accessible at http://theliesaboutmuhammad.com/ and includes videos, commentary and reflections on Islamophobia and misunderstandings of Islam.

Imam Moustafa Zayed has a degree in Communication Systems Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt, and is a member of the Scientific Board of Quran and Sunnah Research of Cairo. He has appeared numerous times on the NY-area television program, “Understanding Religion”. He speaks widely in Interfaith settings with a devotion to bridging peace between the major religions and communities.
Zayed is also the author of “Muhammad Said”, and is a leading teacher in the Islamic Society of Central Jersey. Imam Zayed was featured as one of ten North American Islamic scholars on Britain’s Channel 4 Documentary, “Islam in America”.

He recently joined ILIA as an instructor teaching fallacies about the leadership abilities and skills of the Prophet (pbuh). He offered a workshop at ILIA's training facility in Ellicott City, Maryland in Nov 2010, and inshaa Allah future seminars are being planned for Michigan, Virginia and Georgia. ILIA Launches New Youth Project Management Class

Alhamedellah with the grace of Allah (SWT), in its second year of offering of Youth Project Management (YPM 101), ILIA introduces Leading Youth Project Managers - Cost Management (YPM 201) for those who completed YPM 101 in 2009. YPM 201 builds on YPM 101 and focuses on financial cost accounting for projects. It provides youth ages 12-18 the solid understanding of all fundamental financial areas of a project from bill of material, to income sheets and project operational and capital expenses and balance sheets. The project touches on financial earned value and allows youth to communicate effectively with professional project managers in the industry as related to financial aspects of a project. The coaching this year will be offered by ILIA and ILIA will provide all participants with the same project to develop a full project plan for a new training center in Baltimore City, inshaa Allah coaching involves site visits, public hearings and lots of real-life experience.
