Virtual Youth Leadership Program

Virtual Youth Leadership Program on Zoom

The Youth Leadership Program is a workshop consisting of eight 1.5-hour sessions that enable youths to develop their communication and leadership skills through practical experience. The youth will learn skills including:

• Evaluating their own speaking ability
• Preparing and giving speeches
• Giving impromptu talks
• Controlling their voice
• Giving constructive feedback & more

Annual EPC (Essay/Panel Competition) Event

Dear EPC Participants/Patrons,

We are a little over 2 weeks away from the essay submission deadline for EPC. The due date is approaching fast €  ’¶ Yes, it€  ’²s on January 6, 2020. We have only three more weekends left before the due date.

EPC is a one of a kind platform in the DC metro area that provides a unique opportunity for our youths to develop their skills in writing, speech, and multi-media presentation. So, why wait?

Please remind our youths/children/students about the deadline and help them to take advantage of this great opportunity to sharpen communication skills. Please have them submit their essays, poster, and multimedia HERE, by January 6, 2020.

Our overarching theme for EPC-2020 is: The Prophet of Peace and Justice:  In the Footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad (S) which includes the following topics for elementary, middle, and high school category. Like previous years, we will also have Islamic Jeopardy for the Elementary and Middle School students €  ’¶ so, don€  ’²t miss out this interesting competition!

Elementary School topic: What does Allah and the Prophet Muhammad (S) teach us about being a peaceful person?

Middle School topic: How do I go about my daily life trying to stay peaceful and being just to those around me?

High School topic: How would Prophet Muhammad (S)€  ’±s teachings bring peace and justice to our lives and communities today?
