A certified CPR and first aid chaperons by the American Red Cross available on trip, our ratio is 1 chaperon per 5 kids, the program is developed by professionals educated and trained in leadership. Chaperons have experience in youth programs, and have conducted programs at area Masjids for several years including trips and other off-site programs. The Mountain Strong Book accompanies the program and has been reviewed by two Islamic center Imams (Dar Al-Taqwa and Ann Arbor Muslim Community Center), a youth psychologist, a psychiatric and a leadership expert from the University of Maryland. For the girls program, all chaperons are sisters, except for two adult brothers whose functions are security and logistical support. All activities are conducted by college age trained female chaperons. ILIA serves only halal and healthy food, no junk food/snacks are served.

The Faculty of Leadership and Management (FKP), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Bandar Baru Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia will organize the International Conference On Dakwah and Islamic Management: Practice & Prospect
(IC-DAIM2010). This conference is a collaborative effort of the faculty (FKP) and the Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia (YaPEIM). The conference will be held on the 23rd-24th November 2010, at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The organizing committee cordially invites you to participate in this conference. ILIA Speaks to Hifz Class at Islamic Academy of Raleigh
Monday July 7th, 2010 / Rajab 25th, 1431, Raleigh, North Carolina
Alhamedellah it was an honor to receive an invitation from the Quran Hifz School of Raleigh's Islamic Academy to share some reflections on leadership for their students. A team of three ILIA youth along with their coach spent 45 minutes with the twenty Raleigh youngsters whose ages ranged from 8 to 13, and their two instructors. The discussion reflected on key leadership traits of a good Muslim, and Ibrahim's (peace be upon him) leadership responsibility and mission.

We have good news to share. Alhamedellah with the grace of Allah (SWT) and the continued support of our donors ILIA has moved into an office of its own in Ellicott City, Maryland.
A professional grade business office park in Howard County in the Center of the Baltimore/Washington region. The office allows ILIA to organize its business assets, documents and conduct its operations 7 days a week. It also provides a space for ILIA's Mission Excellence Program and access to two class A conference rooms and two large training facilities.
Alhamedellah ILIA's programs and classes cover the expenses associated with these its programs. However ILIA depends on its donors contributions to fund its dawa and outreach efforts, operational expenses and one-time capital expenses.

ILIA Invited to Islamic Society of Delaware SummerFest
Newark, Delaware - June 12th, 2010.
Under the sizzling summer sun and among a crowd of several thousand Muslim and non-Muslim visitors alhamedellah on Saturday June 12th, 2010 ILIA joined the Delaware Muslim community during their SummerFest which was held at the Islamic Society of Delaware (ISD). The event showcased vendors and Islamic organizations that packed the ISD parking lot. ILIA's presence provided the Delaware and Pennsylvania communities with an introduction to Islamic Leadership Institute and its activities.
The ILIA booth was staffed by Mohammad Abouelrous, his mother sister Maryum, Ayman Nassar and his daughter Yomna.
Among those who stopped by were youth from the Delaware local region, community members from Pennsylvania, leadership of ISD, volunteers and the president of the CAIR-PA chapter, and the County Executive Chris Coons. ILIA shared with Chris work it does in ex-inmate transitioning through self-leadership development. ILIA shared information with the youth about its summer internships and volunteer work available to high school and college students.
The ILIA team is grateful to the event's organizers and volunteers and the ISD's board of trustees for inviting the institute over and looks forward to serving the Muslim population in the Delaware / Pennsylvania region.

ILIA Launches Family Leadership, May 22nd 2010 Inshaa Allah
In shaa Allah ILIA launches a new program for adults this spring, family leadership. A five hour program for adults ages 16 and above covering the concepts of Qawamah, teamwork, gratitude, appreciation, personality, responsibility, communications and growth within the Muslim family. A sound society is based on a strong family structure under a leadership that has been practiced and defined by the Prophet (PBUH).
Program includes case studies and activities and concludes with an exam, all participants who score above 80% are eligible to receive an ILIA Educational Credit (IEC) towards a certificate in Islamic leadership.
