The Beverley Yip Scholarships (2016)

Administered by the Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC)
*Note: Students may only apply for EITHER the scholarship or internship.  Students may not receive more than one scholarship.  Students may not receive combination of scholarship and internship.
For 2016-17, a total of two (2) scholarships*, each $2,500, will be available
  • Awarded to either high school students entering post-secondary education in 2015 or current college or graduate school students
Deadline: Postmarked by May 5, 2016 (Application and additional documentation attached)
  • Currently in high school or college students planning to or are currently majoring in health & human services, international relations, psychology, social work, criminal justice, health promotion & disease prevention, engineering & science, or  business
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Demonstrated academic and leadership ability and/or community involvement
  • Asian, Pacific Islander descent or refugee status
Required Documentation
Submit two (2) complete copies of the following documents. Secure each application package with one staple in the upper left-hand corner. Email for a copy
  • UPAC application form (Page 3 and 4 of this packet)
  • Autobiographical Statement (see page 5)
  • Two signed and sealed letters of recommendation (Photocopies will not be accepted)
  • Most recent official transcript and/or report card
