Hello and Happy New Year. I just got back from Dallas and spent some time with my mother at her child and adolescent psych clinic, Beautiful Minds. She is currently looking to hire someone who will act a a patient advocate who will be in charge of administering a treatment using Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for patients experiencing Major Depressive Disorder. Most of her patients are children, although she does also see adults. The job is in Frisco, Texas (a suburb of Dallas).

TMS is a breakthrough treatment for Major Depressive Disorder. The treatment is administered in a private practice setting under the direction of a Board Certified Psychiatrist. The patient advocate role will include administering daily patient treatments, completing a patient's financial consult, planning patient education events, and building a referral network with other physicians in the community. The patient advocate will also meet with the primary physician to review TMS candidates and have regular business meetings. The TMS Patient Advocate position will work to build insurance cases and profiles in order to verify and approve patients for TMS treatment. This position will also work directly with insurance companies to schedule peer to peer meetings, gain pre-authorization approvals, and write appeals letters. Other duties include scheduling MT appointments, tracking patient phone calls, following up with patients about upcoming appointments and payment, and collecting payment for treatment.
This individual will be clinically trained on the Neurostar TMS Therapy system.
Minimum Qualifications and Responsibilities:• 2 years of experience in a clinical setting (REQUIRED)
• Knowledge or experience working with commercial health insurance
• 2 years of marketing experience or networking experience
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Outlook/Excel) with exposure to some data management software
• Highly organized, outside the box problem solving skills, creative thinkers
• Strong communication skills, team player, positive attitude, high energy, friendly
• Explain and administer procedure to patients
• Act courteously and professionally when dealing with patients, visitors and the public
• Knowledge of HIPPA rules and regulations
• Follow established treatment and office procedures
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy regarding all details
• Manage referral reporting and marketing programs
• Physically able to walk, stand, stoop, and bend, Visual and auditory dexterity
Other:
• Must be able to work with TMS trainers and other support services related to TMS
• Must have own transportation
• Position is full time (40 hours a week), Hours: M-F, 8-5pm
• Pay will be salary with bonus plan
• Location: Frisco, Texas
